Today, at the Yessenov University site in Aktau, with the support of the United Nations Development Program in Kazakhstan (UNDP), the Ministry of Culture and Information of Kazakhstan and the Akimat of the Mangystau region, an entrepreneurial skills development program for the development and acceleration of startups in the field of creative industries for the youth of the Mangystau region has been launched.
This initiative is being implemented within the framework of a UNDP project funded by the Government of Japan aimed at strengthening sustainable communities in Central Asia in order to prevent violent extremism.
Within the framework of the program, participants from the cities of Aktau, Zhanaozen and Beineu master the skills of creative entrepreneurship for a month. The curriculum covers topics such as business plan development, idea presentation, digital marketing tools, financial management, intellectual property rights protection, and the use of technology and innovation in creative industries.
